After sitting in a Fayette County jail for the last 7 days Rick Ross has gone before a judge seeking bail. The rapper was previously denied bail because of the charges he’s facing, which include kidnapping, assault and aggravated battery.
Ross, real name William Roberts, allegedly pistol whipped a groundskeeper and refused to let him leave his Georgia home.
The rapper’s bodyguard, Nadrian James, was also taken into custody.
The judge in the case has not yet ruled whether or not Ross will be allowed to post bail today.
TMZ reports that Rick Ross is free, but at a hefty price. The MMG boss had to put up a $2 million bond.
– $1 million equity from the ex-Evander Holyfield mansion he owns, and another GA property
– $500,000 surety bond (from a bail bondsman)
– $500k in cold hard cash
He will be tracked 24-hours a day by wearing a GPS ankle monitor and his attorney promised that his client would hand over the Holyfield estate, valued at over $3 million, if Ross intimidates or threatens any witnesses.
