Despite Lil Wayne’s lengthy legal battle with Birdman and Cash Money, Tunechi has now revealed that he now has the authority over when the long-awaited ‘Tha Carter V’ will be released.
During an interview with Q93, Wayne gave an update on the project.
“Of course you’re going to see Tha Carter V. I just don’t want to put it out the wrong way. Honestly, I can do what I want at any time. The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be. I’ma make sure it’s right. I can drop whatever I want to drop. That’s why I keep dropping whatever I want to drop. But I’m not gonna give them Carter V the wrong way,” said Wayne.
Apparently the project is complete, and Wayne is just awaiting a great and planned roll out.
“It’s on the shelf, just ready to drop. I ain’t gotta do that. I move on and keep it moving and give them what I’m doing right now. Carter V is ready to be listened to. It’s just gotta be listened to the right way and like I said, I’m not gonna give it to them wrong,” he added.
According to Lil Twist, ‘Tha Carter V’ is fire, and Wayne is working with Mannie Freshagain.
We all wonder when the litigation between Wayne and Birdman will end. I wonder have they truly made any progress since Wayne has control over the project now.
